Modular Frame is a heavy welded and formed construction.
Center carriage is a heavy welded platform supported at two pivot points on the reel side and pivoted by two 6" air cylinders for easy loading and unloading.
Unit will accept from 24" to 50" diameter reels up to a 34" overall reel width and a 4000 lb. weight capacity.
The pintle arms open and close by an AC gear motor belt coupled to an Acme threaded screw with torque limiter.
The arms travel through a dual linear rail arrangement.
Main drive is a 10 HP DC belt driven motor controlled by a 10 HP DC Eurotherm 590 Regen drive, AB micrologix PLC
A 6 speed Turner Uni-Drive transmission is supplied for maximum motor efficiency over a wide speed range.
Spindles are 27/16" OD x 1 3/4" ID tubes, which ride on heavy-duty ball bearings.
Operation controls include Start/Stop, Pintles Open/Close, carriage Raise/Lower, Brake Release and Emergency Stop.
